AboitizPower subsidiary Therma South, Inc. (TSI), operates the 300-megawatt (2x150 MW) Davao coal-fired power plant situated along the boundary of Davao City and Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. Utilizing advanced Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) technology, it is the first plant in the Philippines to incorporate a “coal dome,” which safely stores coal and prevents fugitive dust emissions. This Davao plant provides reliable baseload power to over 20 electric cooperatives and distribution utilities across Mindanao.
