Davao City Water District

Davao City Water District (DCWD), established in 1973 through Presidential Decree 198 or the Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973, is a government-owned and controlled corporation and the primary piped water service provider in Davao City. It operates 12 independent water supply systems serving approximately 270,000 residential, commercial, and government connections across 117 barangays. With water supply nearly double current demand and about 96% of customers receiving 24/7 service with adequate pressure, DCWD ensures clean, safe, and potable water through sustainable source development, system expansion, operational efficiency, and strict quality monitoring. Guided by its vision to be a gender-responsive and environmentally responsible water and wastewater service provider, DCWD continues to protect its water sources through its Integrated Watershed Management Program (IWMP) and corporate social responsibility initiatives while expanding and sustaining reliable service for the people of Davao.
