Agdao Multipurpose Cooperative

The Agdao Cooperative was successfully registered to CDA on June 19, 1991. It was founded by a group of 21 people of agdao public market with an initial paid up capital of Ph 63,000 pesos or individual paid up capital of Ph 3,000 each. The first General Assembly was then successfully conducted in 1994. AMVMPC (Agdao Market Vendors Multipurpose Cooperative) was one of the program beneficiary of Credit Union Empowerment and Strengthening (CUES) Philippines, a project of the World Council of Credit Unions, Inc. (WOCCU) which started in the year 2000. This intervention has given a great significance to AMVMPC as a young cooperative because the Cooperative’s image have dramatically improve in the community. In the year 2002 AMVMPC changed its name to Agdao Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMPC) to emphasize its acceptance of membership beyond Agdao public market.
