MAGSIGE Multi-Purpose Cooperative was founded by Mr. Agripino L. Torres who is also now the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the cooperative. MAGSIGE MPC’s initial purpose was to eradicate labor inefficiencies among banana farmers in Calinan, Davao City. Throughout the years, the cooperative thrived and prospered. From 86 pioneering members, it now has 25,489 members, with a total asset worth ₱649.6 Million. 

Through its strategic diversification program, MAGSIGE MPC has evolved beyond Job Contracting Services. Today, it operates a wide range of enterprises including: - Financial Services - Garments Manufacturing - Retail Operations - Agribusiness Production From addressing labor concerns to becoming a diversified, member-driven enterprise, MAGSIGE MPC continues to rise stronger — empowering communities and creating sustainable opportunities for its members. “MAGSIGE” is a visayan word which means “to keep on” or “to persist” reflecting a sense of continuous effort and perseverance. Our cooperative’s vision is “Sustainable Cooperative, Prosperity for every family.” This encapsulates the vision of building a fair, equitable, and thriving society where economic growth is pursued in harmony with social and environmental well-being, and where every family has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and prosperous life.
